Certification
Certification
Syndus Group operates under a fully integrated and implemented management system covering safety, quality, and environmental matters.
We are certified in accordance with VCA Petrochemicals, ISO 9001, and the CO₂ Performance Ladder. In addition, the individual companies within Syndus Group hold supplementary certifications relevant to their specific operations.
Our certifications reflect our ongoing commitment to quality, reliability, and safety. They affirm that our processes meet the highest standards and that our products are built to perform even in the most demanding environments.
VCA-P
VCA-P
In the (petro)chemical industry, ensuring the safety of people and the environment is quite literally a matter of life and death. Companies operating in this sector frequently deal with hazardous processes and flammable and/or toxic substances.
Many of the Syndus companies are active in this high-risk industry. For this reason, we hold the VCA Petrochemicals (VCA-P) certificate, which is specifically tailored to the petrochemical sector. This certification is comparable to the standard VCA system (VCA**), but includes additional mandatory requirements that are specific to petrochemical operations.

We are continuously and actively working to enhance safety awareness and further develop our safety culture. After all, true safety goes far beyond simply following rules, it requires a deeply embedded mindset and a conscious commitment to safe behaviour in everything we do.
Several companies within Syndus Group use the Safety Culture Ladder as an assessment tool to measure safety awareness and promote a culture of safe conduct and behaviour.
Following a comprehensive organisational scan, concrete steps are being taken on an ongoing basis towards certification in accordance with the Safety Culture Ladder framework.

Internal Safety Awareness Campaign
To strengthen safety awareness on the work floor, Syndus Group runs an internal campaign focused on behavioural awareness. At the heart of this campaign are three brand characters: Sjef, Sjaak and Sjaron.
These recognisable figures are featured during our monthly toolbox meetings, where safety managers use campaign posters as visual conversation starters. This approach helps create open dialogue around real-world safety situations.
By making safety topics part of a monthly routine, the campaign encourages employees to reflect on their actions and to adjust behaviour without fear of judgment.
